Electric Fireplace & Plug-In Appliance Addendum and Work Authorization
Furniture Assembly Pros of NC, operated by Red-Snake Technology LLC.
Introduction
This Addendum applies when an order includes assembly or installation of furniture containing an electric fireplace, fireplace TV stand, electric fireplace media console, integrated electric heater or similar plug-in heating appliance.
It supplements the Company's Terms of Service.
Customer authorization under this Addendum must be obtained before applicable work begins.
A later Service Completion Agreement does not replace this pre-service authorization unless a specific mutually approved amendment provides otherwise.
1. Covered Work
Subject to the approved Service Order, services may include:
- Mechanical furniture assembly
- Assembly of fireplace media consoles
- Placement of manufacturer-provided electric fireplace modules
- Installation of factory-designed appliance components
- Mounting when separately authorized
- Connection of an intact factory-installed plug to an appropriate existing receptacle when reasonably safe
2. Excluded Work
The Company does not provide:
- Hardwiring
- Electrical circuit installation
- Receptacle or breaker installation
- Junction-box modifications
- Alteration of building wiring
- Gas installation
- Fuel systems
- Chimney or flue work
- Venting installation
- HVAC work
- Plumbing
- Electrical safety certification
Any separately required licensed work must be performed by an appropriately authorized professional.
3. Existing Electrical Conditions
The customer is responsible for providing a suitable electrical supply that complies with manufacturer requirements and applicable law.
The customer is responsible for any required dedicated circuit, electrical capacity, safe outlet condition and manufacturer-prescribed clearances.
The Company does not certify the safety of the building's electrical system.
4. Manufacturer Electronics
The Company does not independently warrant manufacturer-provided heating elements, blowers, thermostats, motors, lighting, remotes, circuit boards, software, controls or wiring.
The Company remains responsible for its own work to the extent required by law and applicable workmanship obligations.
5. Heat, Ventilation and Clearances
Customers must follow manufacturer instructions concerning electrical load, ventilation, combustible materials, clearances, safe operation, children and pets, maintenance, and unplugging or discontinuing use where required.
The Company may decline to energize or operate a product that appears damaged or unsafe.
6. Basic Function Checks
A basic power-on or function check may be performed when reasonably practical.
Such a check demonstrates only apparent operation at the time performed.
It is not an electrical inspection, formal certification or guarantee of future performance.
7. Stop Work
The Company may suspend or refuse work where an appliance, electrical cord, outlet, mounting condition or related installation appears damaged, incompatible or unsafe.
The customer must not operate a product that has been identified as unsafe.
8. Service Completion and Electronic Signature
At the end of service, the Company may prepare an applicable Service Completion Agreement.
The agreement may document furniture and appliance assembly, product identification, physical installation performed, basic functionality observed if checked, missing parts, visible defects, incomplete tasks, specific safety concerns, and customer acceptance subject to recorded exceptions.
The customer may electronically review and sign the completion record through a secure website link. That signature is a separate post-service step. It does not replace this Addendum.
The finalized agreement may be available by PDF, by email where a usable address is provided, and through a separate secure customer document link. A document link is not a customer account. Inbox delivery of email is not guaranteed. The Company does not send the signing link through an automated text-message service; a technician may copy the link into an existing text conversation.
Electronic completion acknowledgement does not constitute electrical inspection or certification.
9. Workmanship and Product Warranties
The Company's physical assembly labor remains subject to the limited workmanship warranty in the Terms of Service: seven calendar days for services ordered on or after October 13, 2026, and 30 days for orders placed while that longer warranty was the published term.
Manufacturer product warranties remain with the relevant manufacturer or seller.
Nothing in this Addendum excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Liability and Customer Use
The customer is responsible for subsequent appliance use, manufacturer-prescribed maintenance and keeping combustible materials outside required clearances.
Liability for loss or damage is determined according to actual cause and applicable law.
The general Terms of Service apply to the extent enforceable.
This Addendum does not transfer liability for the Company's own negligence where such transfer is unlawful.
11. Relationship to Other Documents
This Addendum is a pre-service authorization.
The applicable Service Order specifies scope and pricing.
A later Service Completion Agreement records work and completion conditions.
Electronic signing of a completion agreement does not automatically replace this Addendum or authorize previously unapproved electrical work.
12. Electronic Acceptance Before Work
The customer may accept this Addendum through an appropriate affirmative electronic action before service begins. On the current website, that action is the fireplace checkbox on the booking form. That checkbox records the published addendum version, the time, the IP address and the page. It is not the post-service signature at /sign/{token}.
The Company may retain evidence of the accepted document version and transaction.
Post-service signing is a separate transaction.
13. Governing Law
North Carolina law governs, subject to applicable federal law.
Venue in Wake County applies to the extent permitted.
No mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver is introduced by this Addendum.
