Outdoor Structure & Shed Assembly Addendum and Work Authorization

Introduction and Pre-Service Authorization
This Addendum supplements the Company's Terms of Service for applicable outdoor kit assembly services.
It must be accepted before the relevant work begins. On the current booking form, that acceptance is the outdoor-addendum checkbox. The checkbox stores the published version, the time, the IP address and the page. It is not the signature at /sign/{token}.
It is separate from any Service Completion Agreement signed after the appointment.
Acceptance of a later electronic completion document does not automatically replace this Addendum.
1. Covered Products
Subject to an authorized Service Order, the Company may assemble:
- Resin, plastic, metal and fabric shed kits
- Gazebos and canopies
- Pergolas and screen houses
- Greenhouse kits
- Freestanding outdoor storage kits
- Freestanding outdoor furniture kits
Playsets, climbing structures and children's outdoor playground equipment are excluded from this Addendum.
Only specifically approved work is included.
2. Excluded Work
Unless separately authorized and legally permitted, the Company does not provide excavation, land grading, gravel or paver installation, concrete slabs or footings, foundation construction, structural wood platforms, structural carpentry, building electrical work, plumbing, gas or fuel work, ventilation or exhaust installation, engineering certification, code inspection, demolition, hauling or disposal, or attachment of structures to buildings.
Required licensed or permitted services must be handled by appropriately authorized providers.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Before service, the customer must provide correct product identification and instructions, complete accessible kit packages, a suitable manufacturer-required base or support, reasonably safe site access, an approved installation location, any required property-owner, landlord or HOA approval, responsibility for property boundaries, setbacks and easements, any customer-required permits, disclosure of known underground or overhead hazards, and reasonable protection of children, pets and bystanders.
The customer must approve the final location.
4. Base and Site Conditions
The Company's assembly work does not constitute an engineering evaluation, structural certification, soil assessment, drainage assessment, code inspection or guarantee of long-term suitability of the customer-provided base.
The Company may inspect visibly accessible conditions for practical workability but does not guarantee concealed or long-term site performance.
Unsafe or unsuitable site conditions may require suspension or refusal of service.
5. Manufacturer-Required Anchoring
Outdoor structures may require anchors or structural restraints for safety.
Anchoring is included only when authorized, feasible, within lawful scope and consistent with applicable manufacturer instructions.
If required anchoring cannot be completed, the Company may refuse, suspend or limit assembly.
An incomplete or manufacturer-required unanchored outdoor structure must not be occupied, loaded or used.
Possible post-service statuses are: completed as authorized; not required under available instructions; not included and remains incomplete; unable to complete; work stopped for safety.
The Company does not offer a “decline anchoring and accept the risk” option for an outdoor structure. If manufacturer-required anchoring is outside the approved scope, cannot be completed safely, or is declined, the Company may refuse to begin, suspend the work, or decline to leave the structure assembled. An incomplete or unanchored outdoor structure may tip, shift, collapse, or become airborne and may cause property damage, serious injury, or death. The customer must not occupy, load, or use it. “Declined by the customer” is not a completed outdoor anchoring status.
Customer refusal of required anchoring does not make an unsafe structure suitable for use.
The Company's written safety restrictions remain applicable regardless of customer acknowledgement.
6. Weather and Safety
Outdoor work may be postponed or stopped for rain, lightning, wind, extreme temperatures, wet surfaces or unsafe working conditions.
Authorized labor already performed remains subject to agreed payment terms.
The Company is not required to continue work when the conditions present an unreasonable safety risk.
Customers must protect incomplete materials and prevent unsafe use between visits.
7. Manufacturer and Kit Limitations
The Company does not manufacture the customer's kit unless expressly stated.
The Company does not independently warrant product design, material quality, manufacturer-rated wind resistance, snow-load ratings, watertightness, rust resistance, manufacturer warranty coverage, product lifespan, or performance of a customer-provided base.
The Company's own assembly workmanship remains subject to the limited workmanship warranty in the Terms of Service: seven calendar days for services ordered on or after October 13, 2026, and 30 days for orders placed while that longer warranty was the published term.
8. Generator Storage Enclosures
Services involving generator storage enclosures are limited to physical assembly of the storage product.
The Company does not perform electrical, fuel, exhaust or ventilation work and does not certify safe generator operation in or near an enclosure.
Customers must follow applicable carbon monoxide precautions, manufacturer instructions and safety requirements.
9. Swings and Gliders
Covered swing or glider services are limited to freestanding kits within the approved scope.
Ceiling, porch, tree, beam or other structural hanging installations are excluded unless separately approved and legally permitted.
10. Changes in Scope and Pricing
Significant changes to authorized work or pricing require customer agreement before the additional payable work begins.
Written electronic communications may document such approval.
A post-service electronic signature does not retroactively authorize a previously unapproved charge.
11. Workmanship Concerns
Customers should promptly report concerns related to the Company's work and allow a reasonable inspection opportunity.
Immediate emergency safety measures may be taken when necessary.
Verified workmanship issues are handled under the applicable warranty and nonwaivable legal rights.
12. Electronic Service Completion
After performing the service, the Company may prepare an Outdoor Structure & Shed Service Completion Agreement. That agreement is signed, if at all, after the work. It does not replace this Addendum.
The completion agreement may record the exact product and model, actual work performed, partial or incomplete work, base or site concerns, weather limitations, anchoring status, safety warnings, customer observations and applicable completion notes.
The customer may receive a unique signing link. The technician copies that link into an ordinary text message or another existing conversation. The website does not send the text automatically.
The customer may electronically review the record, provide required acknowledgements and sign.
Electronic signing does not authorize unsafe use or remove manufacturer-mandated safety restrictions.
A signed PDF may be stored in the Company's private records and made accessible through a separate secure customer document link. That link is not a customer account.
13. Customer Responsibility After Service
Customers are responsible for following manufacturer instructions, maintaining the installation site, inspecting accessible fasteners and anchors, monitoring weather conditions and avoiding unauthorized modifications or relocation.
Customers must not use an unsafe or incomplete structure.
Responsibility for damage is allocated according to actual cause and applicable law, rather than through a blanket waiver.
14. Liability
The applicable liability and indemnification provisions of the Terms of Service apply to the extent lawful and enforceable.
Nothing in this Addendum eliminates liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for the Company's own work.
Customer acknowledgement of an incomplete or unsafe condition does not mean the condition is safe.
15. Relationship to Other Agreements
This Addendum governs applicable pre-service outdoor assembly obligations.
The Service Order governs authorized scope and pricing.
The post-service agreement records completed work, disclosed conditions and customer acknowledgements.
An electronic completion document does not automatically supersede this Addendum.
16. Electronic Acceptance Before Service
The customer may accept this Addendum through an appropriate affirmative electronic action, subject to applicable law. Today that action is the booking checkbox for this Addendum, not the post-service signature.
The Company may retain the accepted version, date, time and associated transaction information.
Acceptance of the pre-service Addendum is distinct from the post-service signature.
17. Governing Law
North Carolina law governs, subject to applicable federal law.
Wake County venue applies to the extent permitted.
This Addendum does not introduce mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or a jury-trial waiver.
18. Severability
Invalidity of one provision does not invalidate other enforceable provisions.
